Contributing Editor

We are looking for an experienced editor to help shape our editorial output on an ongoing basis. This is a freelance collaboration — you would work with our contributors, commission pieces, and help maintain the quality and consistency of what we publish.

What You Would Do

• Review and edit contributor submissions for clarity, accuracy, and house style
• Help develop article concepts and brief contributors
• Identify gaps in our editorial calendar and suggest topics
• Work with writers to strengthen drafts — structure, argument, and readability
• Occasionally write or co-write features drawing on your own expertise

Who This Is For

• 5+ years in editorial, content strategy, or journalism — ideally in or adjacent to the creative industries
• A sharp editorial eye and genuine care for good writing
• Experience managing contributors or freelance writers
• Familiarity with digital publishing workflows and WordPress
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals (not obsessive, just aware)

The Details

• Commitment: Approximately 3-4 days per month
• Format: Remote, with regular check-ins
• Compensation: Monthly retainer, discussed individually
