Contributing Researcher
We are looking for an experienced researcher to join Poke London as a regular contributor. This is not a staff position — it is an ongoing freelance collaboration, producing one to two research-driven editorial pieces per month.
What You Would Write
Our research features go beyond surface-level trends. We want pieces grounded in real data and primary sources:
- Audience insight pieces — what creative professionals actually think, need, and struggle with
- Industry data features — original analysis of campaign performance, platform shifts, or market trends
- Interview-based articles — conversations with practitioners, synthesised into actionable insight
- Trend validation pieces — separating genuine shifts from industry hype
Who This Is For
- 3+ years in user research, market research, or data journalism
- Strong qualitative skills — you know how to turn interviews and surveys into compelling narrative
- Comfortable with data visualisation and presenting numbers in context
- Genuine interest in the digital creative industry
- Published writing samples (blog posts, reports, or features)
The Details
- Commitment: 1-2 features per month (flexible scheduling)
- Format: Remote, asynchronous — write on your own time
- Compensation: Per-piece rate, discussed individually
